2024 Fall Season Review

Record (2-6-2):

This Fall will go down as the roughest season in our club's history. With a lot of personnel leaving the club the transition from one team to two was very rocky. This quick change in structure led to some pretty disappointing performances on the pitch. With an 0-5 start to the season all hope seemed lost. However, the lads were able to dig deep and get us back on track for the remaining games picking up some crucial points. At the time of this newsletter Sewell sits in 7th place, giving us a huge mountain to climb in the spring. In order to go down as Liga 1 champions or Liga 1 playoff winners a revamp to the squad will be needed over the break. It’ll be crucial for the Old Boys to have a productive off-season, and to come back in a better state of mind.

Casa select Liga 1: 7th place (ongoing)

Fall season awards:

Player of the season: Owen Strohm

Our Fall 2024 player of the season is Owen Strohm. In a season filled with a lot of struggle Strohm managed to shine through the darkness with his ability. Strohm was mr. consistent in his role as a left center back in our back three. Despite playing in a shaky system he still gave it his all, and put in quality defensive shifts week in and week out. Over the course of the season Strohm had two Liga 1 team of the week inclusions and contributed heavily to our lone clean sheet.

Golden boot: Ryan Gale

Ryan led the team in goals this season with 6. Ryan is a brilliant striker of the ball, and that shows in his goal tally. He was electrifying going forward, and was very efficient in his goal output.

Playmaker award: Bailey Cifone

Bailey was the main man making things happen in our midfield this season. His chance creation was next level as he led the squad with 3 assists this season.
