Record: (2-2-0)
Sewell Old Boys had their fall season opener on September 9th, which ended in a one-all draw against Boys Do Cry FC. It was not the start the club was looking for but it wasn’t the worst. The club continued on the next week in an exciting 2-1 victory versus Still Processing FC. The club was handed its first ever red card as Jake Fisher was sent off in the first half. Connor Buechele filled in for the sent-off goalkeeper. The team was able to hold their lead until the final whistle in what was a first hard-fought victory. Matchweek 3 saw the boys put on a clinic with a 4-0 victory against West Philly Football Club. The final match in September unfortunately ended in a draw versus Club Sandwich. This month’s performances were shaky at times due to a new looking roster but there were plenty of moments of quality on the pitch.
One player that put in consistent performances throughout the month was Connor Buechele. Not only did he step up to fill in as goalkeeper but he also put in huge performances in the back to guide the club to having the best defensive record in the league. For his great efforts Connor was awarded Sewell's September player of the month!
